Albion Online ZvZ Payout & Combined Mode Guide
Automate your guild's ZvZ payouts with combined mode - regear costs are deducted from loot before splitting, with one-click payouts via UnbelievaBoat.
ZvZ Payout Automation
ZvZ content in Albion Online generates both deaths (requiring regear) and loot (requiring splits). Most guilds handle these separately - tracking regears in a spreadsheet and splitting loot manually. Dirtworks automates both in a single workflow.
Three Session Types for ZvZ
| Type | What It Tracks | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Regear | Deaths only - reimburse gear costs | Guild funds regears from treasury |
| Loot Split | Loot only - distribute silver | No regear, just splitting ZvZ loot |
| Combined | Both deaths and loot together | Regear comes from loot pool first |
Combined mode lets guilds fund regear costs directly from the loot earned during the session. Whether this fits your guild depends on your treasury setup and payout preferences.
How Combined Mode Works
Combined mode handles regear and loot splits in a single session. The key difference from running them separately: regear costs are deducted from the loot pool before splitting. This means the group collectively funds regears from the content's earnings.
The Combined Mode Flow
- Calculate gross loot - Total silver + books + bags - repair costs
- Deduct guild cut - Percentage to guild treasury
- Calculate total regear - Sum of all included death payouts
- Deduct regear from loot - Remaining loot is the split pool
- Split remaining loot - Divide among all participants
- Final payout - Each player gets: loot share + personal regear
The formula:
net_loot = gross_total - guild_cut
split_pool = net_loot - total_regear
per_person_loot = split_pool / participant_count
final_payout = per_person_loot + personal_regear
Worked Example: Combined ZvZ Session
A guild runs a ZvZ session with 20 participants. They earn loot and have 4 deaths.
Loot Total: 50,000,000 silver
Guild Cut (10%): 5,000,000
Net Pool: 45,000,000
Deaths (4 total, all included):
Player A: 2,500,000 (gear value, capped by filter)
Player B: 1,800,000
Player C: 3,200,000
Player D: 2,500,000
Total Regear: 10,000,000
Loot after regear: 45,000,000 - 10,000,000 = 35,000,000
Split equally among 20 players: 1,750,000 each
Final Payouts:
Player A: 1,750,000 (loot) + 2,500,000 (regear) = 4,250,000
Player B: 1,750,000 (loot) + 1,800,000 (regear) = 3,550,000
Player C: 1,750,000 (loot) + 3,200,000 (regear) = 4,950,000
Player D: 1,750,000 (loot) + 2,500,000 (regear) = 4,250,000
Everyone else: 1,750,000 each (loot only)
When Regear Exceeds Loot
If total regear costs are higher than the available loot pool, regears are prioritized:
- Regears are paid in priority order (first deaths before second deaths per player)
- Any regear that can't be covered from the pool results in partial payouts
- The loot split portion goes to zero - there's no loot left to split
Example: Regear exceeds loot
Net Pool: 5,000,000
Total Regear: 8,000,000
Regear is partially covered (5,000,000 of 8,000,000)
Loot split: 0 (pool exhausted)
Players with deaths: receive partial regear
Players without deaths: receive 0
If regear exceeds the loot pool, admins with proper permissions can click "Pay Negative Balances" in the loot split widget to cover the remaining regear costs.
UnbelievaBoat Setup
UnbelievaBoat provides automated currency payouts to Discord members. Once configured, Dirtworks can pay all session recipients with a single click.
Invite the UnbelievaBoat bot to your Discord server from unbelievaboat.com if you haven't already.
Go to unbelievaboat.com/applications and create a New Application.
Paste the Bot Client ID (1464230991450345654) into the application's bot ID field and save.
Click the Authorization URL generated by UnbelievaBoat to authorize the application for your Discord server.
Copy the token from your application settings.
In the Settings widget, click Add (or Change if one already exists) next to the UnbelievaBoat Token field.
Paste the token and save. A green "Token configured" indicator confirms it's set.
The UnbelievaBoat bot and the application must both be set up for payouts to work. If you see "This application is not authorized", make sure the bot is invited to your server and the application has the correct Bot Client ID.
Payout Notifications
Configure a Discord channel to receive automatic notifications when payouts are executed.
Setup
- Open the Settings widget in Dirtworks
- Select a text channel from the Payout Notification Channel dropdown
- Save settings
What Gets Posted
When payouts complete, Dirtworks posts an embed to the configured channel with @mention notifications for each recipient and their payout amount.
Create a dedicated #payouts or #regear-log channel for these notifications to keep them organized and easy to find.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when regear exceeds loot in combined mode?
Regears are paid first in priority order. If the loot pool runs out, remaining regears receive partial payouts and the loot split portion is zero. Consider using a separate treasury-funded regear session for heavy-loss ZvZ.
Can I edit a session after paying?
No. Paid sessions are permanently locked. If a correction is needed, create a new session. You can undo a confirmation before paying, but once payouts execute, no changes are possible.
Can I use combined mode without UnbelievaBoat?
Yes. UnbelievaBoat automates the actual silver transfer, but you can also use the "Copy to Clipboard" option to get a formatted payout list for manual distribution in-game.
How do I switch from regear-only to combined mode?
Session type is chosen when starting a new session. You can't change an existing session's type. Start a new combined session for your next ZvZ.
What if UnbelievaBoat says "This application is not authorized"?
Make sure both the UnbelievaBoat bot is invited to your server and the application has the correct Bot Client ID (1464230991450345654). Then click the Authorization URL from your application settings to authorize it for your server.
